LIGHTROOM CLASSIC 

Installation Instructions

1. Open your zip file. You’ll see a folder contain multiple folders and instructions.

2. Save the Modern Market Preset Folder on your desktop (or somewhere you can easily

   find it)

3. Copy (Command + C on a mac or CTRL + C on a PC) the specific preset folder. (Must be

   only the folder containing presets, and not the complete folder that contains pdfs)

4. Open Lightroom and select the following from the menu: Mac: Lightroom > Preferences

   PC: Edit > Preferences

5. You’ll see a large grey box pop up, click the presets tab at the top, then click the Show

   Lightroom Preset Folder button on the right side.

6. You’ll see the folder named Lightroom. Next locate the Develop Preset folder.

7. Paste (Command + V on a mac or CTRL+V on a PC) the preset folder into the

   Development Preset Folder.

8. Restart Lightroom and your preset collection will be installed and viewable in the preset

   section in the Develop Module. 

PHOTOSHOP ACR

Important Note: Must be used in Photoshop ACR. Photoshop Adobe Camera Raw Presets are different than Photoshop actions and will need to be installed correctly in order to be used.

     only the folder containing presets, and not the complete folder that contains pdfs) Make sure to show hidden files option to be sure to see locations below!

     Macintosh: /Users/UserName/Library/ApplicationSupport/Adobe/CameraRawFolder/Settings

     Windows: C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\ApplicationData\Adobe\CameraRaw\Settings Windows 7: C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\Settings

     Restart Photoshop and your preset collection will be installed and viewable in the preset section in Photoshop ACR.

  TROUBLESHOOTING

  Windows Users: If you are unable to find your Settings Folder, you will need to change your folder options to show hidden files and folders. See instructions here

  Mac Users:If you are unable to find your Library Folder, see this article
  Mac Users:If you are unable to find the Setting Folder follow the steps below:

  Go to your Finder and select Go > Go to Folder from the drop-down menu. Copy and paste the following in the search box: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Camera Raw/Settings

  If the Settings Folder still cannot be found, you can also save a file within ACR and search for it on your computer. 

LIGHTROOM BRUSHES 

Installation Instructions

1. Download Lightroom Brushes.

2. Locate and uncompress your files. Modern Markets lightroom presets will come as a .zip file

   so you will need to uncompress the .zip file first. Once this is done you will see a folder with

   the presets in them as well as additional Brush Folder for select collections.

3. Open Lightroom.

4. If you’re using a Mac, locate the top menu bar and navigate to Lightroom > Preferences.

   In Windows, you will navigate to Edit > Preferences.

5. When the Preferences box appears, select the Presets tab.

6. Click on the button labeled Show Lightroom Presets Folder

7. A new Finder window (Mac) or Explorer window (Windows) will appear. Open the

   Lightroom folder, then open the Local Adjustment Presets Folder.

8. Paste presets brushes into this folder.

9. Restart Lightroom. You will find your new brush presets located as a brush adjustment. 

The Quick Way:

1. Simply double-click the .atn file.

Note: When you restart your computer actions installed this way tend to disappear.

The Traditional Way:

1. Save your actions in an easy to find location on your computer. 
2. Open Photoshop and go to the actions palette.
3. If the actions palette is not visible, go to “Window”, then click “Actions” in the dropdown.
4. In the top right corner of the actions palette, click on the small box containing an upside down triangle and 4 horizontal lines.
5. From the drop down menu, select “Load Actions”.
6. Navigate back to where you saved the actions and select the file ending in .atn.

Click “Open” and your actions will load into the actions palette.

The Fade BRUSH will need to be installed into your photoshop or elements and added to your brushes. Most people try to install this as an action and that won't work with the file. Once you have the brush installed, look for it in your brush pallet! 

The Quick Way:

The Traditional Way:

Put the brush presets you have downloaded into the folder Photoshop\Presets\Brushes in the Adobe folder in Program Files if you use Windows or in Applications if you use Macintosh. The original brush presets that come with Adobe Photoshop are kept in this folder. The brush presets should have an .abr ending.
