What To Do When You Just Can't Make A Decision
The person you are right now is as temporary as all the people you have ever been. Think about that for a moment. Think about your life, all the things you’ve done and the roles you have played. People have the habit of predicting that what they have right now, the person who they are today, is what their future holds. That’s because they have an easier time understanding who they are today than imagining the person they are in their future.
What is it that you want to do, but for some reason, you decide for yourself not to go for it? It’s something you know you want, but have been procrastinating anyways?
Think about it long and hard. Realize that the only thing that stands between you and taking action is the FEAR of deciding to do what you need to do.
Here’s the thing, deciding not to decide, is a decision in itself.
Most people don’t live up to their full potential because of their fear of failing. They are willing to allow fear to direct their future instead of taking full control of their actions and just going for it.
Here’s the thing with fear; if you were in this world alone, you wouldn’t be so worried about failing because the stem of fear failure is usually directly linked in how we feel we are perceived from the outside, from those around us.
Write down who matters most to you.
Those people will stand by your side if you succeed or fail.
They will remind you to try again.
Write down the things you want to do.
Go do them. And if you fail at first, try again.
Most importantly, it’s time to stop avoiding deciding on what to do because sitting there doing nothing, IS a decision in itself.
