One Of My Favorite Tools To Use | Grammarly
I get a lot of questions about tools I love to use that help me run my business. I wanted to highlight this tool because frankly, I use it, all day, every day!
It has helped me improve so many aspects of my business, and it might help you too. Unless you're an English professor, then just close out of this post, you don't need this! Let me tell you about Grammarly. It's like having an English teacher that follows me everywhere I go and makes sure that I don't miss-spell anything and makes sure that my overall grammar is correct. I love writing and have to write a lot between emails, client communications, blogging, social media. I'm always putting content out there and used to have a huge problem in writing too fast and not catching simple errors. I'll blame that on the fact that I was born in Germany, lived there for 11 years and had to learn English when I moved here. Honestly, I've just never been a great speller, and often guilty of run-on sentences.
As a photographer and business owner writing has a lot to do with that I do. Think about the houses your typing away every day and prepare content for people that are interested in your business. It's hard to ask a friend or spouse to double check all your posts, and they might not even find all errors either. So that's where this tool comes in. I swear that I use this tool everyday, and can't imagine running my business and not having it at this point. It's not a fancy tool, but out of all the ones I use for my business, I use this one the most.
HOW IS GRAMMARLY DIFFERENT THAN SPELL CHECK?
Oh man, it does so much more! Here's a quick little video on how it works. What I love most about it is the fact that it follows you everywhere on your computer without having to do anything extra. It doesn't matter if I'm writing a blog, a post on Facebook, emailing a client back. Grammarly is checking everything I'm writing as I'm writing it.
Best of all, they let you use the basic version of it for free. Scooooore. I do pay for it because I love having all the features unlocked but for those of you who just want to give it a spin and see how much this tool can help you, just try the free version!
