Holiday backdrops are so much fun to use and I wanted to create this blog post for anyone who isn't familiar with how to use them yet! The process is fairly simple and I think you'll be surprised on how easy it to add a little holiday magic to your current photos without dealing with the additional studio set ups!

HOW TO USE HOLIDAY DIGITAL BACKDROPS

  1. Download your digital backdrop (you'll get an email with the download instantly after ordering)
  2. Save your digital backdrop to your computer (I like to save it to my desktop so it's easy to find)
  3. Open up your digital backdrop in your editing software (I love using photoshop)
  4. Open up your image that you'd like to use the backdrop with
  5. Copy & Paste the digital backdrop on top of your image
  6. Resize the backdrop to fit perfect onto your image (I use Edit>Free Transform)
  7. Create a masking layer
  8. Use a black brush on 100% opacity and paint in the areas you don't want to see the backdrop
  9. Use a lower opacity to blend the edges
  10. Merge the two layers into one (flatten the image
  11. Save your image!

Tip: you can also copy paste your image on top of the digital backdrop. Which ever is easier for you to do!
