Discovery Cove: All-Inclusive Family Resort in Florida
Discovery Cove is one of Floridas best-hidden treasures. It's tucked between all the huge theme parks, and many people who live in Florida don't know about it. If you're local, or visiting add this to your list of things to do! It's a MUST!
Discovery Cove is one of our absolute favorite place to visit. It's the perfect place to explore, relax, and enjoy as a family. So after visiting most of the parks here in Florida, we can now say that Discovery Park is in the #1 spot of places to visit in Florida!
As a mom myself I'm constantly trying to find fun things to do for my family, and I had remembered Discovery Cove. After living in Florida, we have done it all. The theme parks, the beach, the springs, all of it. We wanted something new to do so we decided let's book a last minute trip to this magical place.
The entire place is all inclusive, so you literally have nothing else to worry about once you're checked in. We showed up early and got some yummy breakfast, and then continued onto getting our wetsuits. We happened to go on one of the coldest days, so we opted for the long sleeve ones ;)
Choosing An Island In Hawaii
I've always put a ton of thought into my decisions, moving to Hawaii is one of those. Now that I've decided that it's 100% something we will do I have to actually decide on which Island. This oddly is a little harder than I thought it would be.
The main islands are, Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island. I've only actually ever been to Oahu. Once. So my other information on the other islands is 100% coming from my own research.
Oahu is 100% off the list (although I loved it) My husband said that there are so many people on this island and we both agreed that we want something more off the beaten path. Really experience living in Hawaii.
Off the beaten path, of course, Kauai came to mind, from what I have seen it looks like an incredible place to live. It's like a photographers paradise there and the adventures we would have there as a family would be like a dream. Only downfall is that there's not a ton of homes for sale and we might end up having to live in a little beach shack somewhere. I hope my kids are ok with sharing a room. haha.
Special Announcement | Moving To Hawaii!
I texted my husband that I wanted to move to Hawaii (kind of as a joke, and to see what his reaction would be...) Of course, I was greeted with a big "We can't move to Hawaii honey" and of course that was met with the simple thought.
"But why can't we?"
After coming home, we talked more and more and finally came to the conclusion that moving to Hawaii isn't really as crazy as it felt when I first mentioned it.
Every day I teach other creatives to chase their dreams, even when it's scary. Everything you want in life is on the other side of your doubts and fears. This is me putting it all on the line and going for it. I would love to share this little life adventure with those of you who are interested in following along. I'll post updates on the blog and my fan page and of course welcome any questions any of you might have along the way.
