I've always enjoyed seeing what other people shoot with and use as gear. It's even more interesting the different results everyone can create form using the exact same products. Here's a quick list of everything I have in my camera bag. Camera, lenses, graduated neutral density filter and why I love using these specific items.

Canon EOS 5D Mark III DSLR Camera

Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM Lens

This is my favorite lens to shoot with. I use it the most because it works amazing for portraits as well as macros. My favorite thing about it is how tack sharp it is.

Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L USM Lens

If i'm low on light or space, I love using the 50. Since I love using the 100mm for portraits I don't really use my 50 much unless I need to.

Canon EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM Lens

Fisheyes are a ton of fun, especially when shooting outdoors at the beach.

Lensbaby Composer Pro with Edge 80 Optic for Canon

This little lens is perfect for when i'm feeling creative. It creates really unique images by allowing me to choose where the focus line falls.

Jill-E Designs X-Large Rolling Case

My all time favorite camera bag. It's HUGE and has wheels which means I don't have to kill my back carrying around all my gear. I use it anytime I travel or when I need to have all my gear with me.

Jo Totes Missy Camera Bag (Mint)

I use this bag to carry my essentials. A few lenses, memory cards, notepad. Anything I might need quick access to while shooting.

Lens Cleaning Pen Brush

Lens cleaning pens are awesome. Spend 5 bucks and get yourself one!

Canon Speedlite 430EX III-RT

I shoot all natural light, but use this during wedding receptions when I have no more light to work with.

Cokin X-Pro W960 Pro Graduated Neutral Density Filter Kit

These filter are really interesting. I attach them to my camera lens and then it "shields" the sky from all the light making the image more even. What it allows me to do is expose for my clients, without blowing out my skies. You know how you usually hav to choose to either expose for your subject and blwo the sky OR expose for your sky and then your subject is super dark. Welcome to the world of being able to have your subjects perfectly exposed while keeping your sky.

Regarding the natural density filter, I’m considering one for my beach weddings where the couple is in semi shade and the water/beach is in full sun and blown out behind them. Do you think this could work for this situation? I have contacted my supplier and they felt a polarizing filter would better suit?
